1. Using mkoma

mkoma is an app for reading, searching and editing documents on your phone. You may use it for lawful purposes. You are responsible for the documents you open and for having the right to process them.

2. Accounts

You don't need an account to use mkoma's local tools. An account (an email address) adds syncing between your devices. Keep access to your email private; anyone who can read the sign-in code can sign in as you.

3. AI features

Ask, Write and Translate send the text you choose to an AI model provider and show you what comes back. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable — check it before you rely on it, and do not use it as legal, medical or financial advice. Each device or account has a daily allowance of AI runs; we may change the allowance. Do not use the AI features to generate unlawful content or to process documents you have no right to share with a third-party processor (see the Privacy Policy).

4. Your content

Your documents remain yours and stay on your device. We claim no ownership of them. We do not store the text you send to AI features (see the Privacy Policy for exactly what we do keep). Only send files you have the right to send.

PDFs you share, save as a copy or print from mkoma carry a small "Made with mkoma" line at the foot of each page, unless you turn it off (Settings → Sharing, or the switch when you share). Turning it off is free on every plan. The line is added to the copy that leaves the app, never to the document in your library.

5. What you may not do

Attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer our servers; bypass the daily allowance (for example by scripting requests); use mkoma to harm others; or misuse the sign-in flow to send email to addresses that aren't yours.

6. Availability and changes

We may change or discontinue features, and the service can be unavailable. Local tools keep working without a connection. We will tell you in the app (Notices) about material changes.

7. No warranty; limits of liability

mkoma is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data or indirect damages. Keep backups of important documents: editing tools such as rotate, compress and watermark replace the stored copy of a document in your library with the edited version.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using mkoma at any time and delete your account and data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend access that breaks these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and disputes go to the courts of Dar es Salaam, without taking away any protection the law of the country you live in gives you.
